I've had one fitted now for nearly 5 years, great diff... but really does need to be set up properly by someone who knows what they are doing. Initially mine was installed by a general purpose diff guy...and it wasn't too impressive. I then had a genuine specialist have a "play" with it....it was like night and day. |

Going off my OP: I've decided to try something other than the typical brands you see on an import, since I have experience with muscle car brands. It may turn out well or it may not; however, I'll update the community when I get it on in the event it helps someone else. I decided to go with the 6 puck McLeod Street Supreme clutch kit and McLeod aluminum flywheel (~12-14lbs, I don't recall at the moment). Also, I bought an upgraded Versus forged clutch fork and Versus billet clutch pivot. I haven't installed them yet but will soon. I went with McLeod due to my muscle car background and to just try something not a lot of others have yet.

How are you liking it? My Exedy S1 is holding up to my new flex fuel setup, but I'm fully anticipating having to upgrade soon...McCleod seems intriguing.

I am curious to know if the OE clutches for the 2nd gen GR86 / BRZ are stronger and better than the Gen 1 ones and if that's a good replacement? Also how is the availability of these parts as the cars themselves seem to be in short supply.

It grabs really well and with the car having as much power as it does, from running the SC, I have to barely feather the gas and pull out a lot of times while still riding the clutch. Don't get me wrong, though. It is mean on a full take out , pulls, and an all out run. When the car is fully winding out it will grab and go. It's a beast. I was even on the interstate one day and dropped in to fifth to do a pull doing about 65-70mph, but hit too low an RPM and it held. The car broke traction and thrust forward. The clutch rattle can be a little bad in first sometimes depending on how and where you're pulling out, but in other gears it isn't a problem. I also get some flywheel noise only when running the A/C. All in all, I think it's a fair clutch but just watch the application. I think it's a good clutch but one for the track and not one for a DD doing 30 stop lights every other block, or so with heavy traffic. Doc |

The annoyance was only during the break in period because the pedal was extremely stiff and the bite point was like an light switch. After driving it for a few weeks it eased up considerably, still stiffer than stock but much easier to modulate. My 60+ year old mother has driven it and had no issue. If you are looking at OSG I would talk to Mike at Counter space garage. |

Thanks, I did ask on the weekly reddit thread and got Mikes input. Just trying to gather info since there is some CSG bias. I have heard great things about both clutches. |

I have the same clutch and OEM Flywheel. Ran great with my FRS when it was boosted. Still fine after not being boosted
