Scored a TRD intake cheap. Mostly wanted it to hoard but decided to slap it on for bling.

How's the sound compared to the Perrin intake tube?

I thought I would notice more of a difference if I'm honest. With the inlet tube I got a whooshy noise that I'm not hearing now.

Rear seats have been down right now as well which adds more exhaust noise.

Car is back in summer mode. 18s are being sold tonight. Originally planned to keep them as street set and 17s for track, but found one of the RS4s is corded in the middle of the tread, and no funds for track consumables.

Planning to throw new rubber on the 17x9s and run them on the street. Something I don't need to replace every other year. Love RS4s but they're overkill for a "daily" tire...on ramps are pretty addicting right now though .
Champiro SX2 came to mind but I can't find info on if they will last 40k km of daily use. Toyed with Conti EC DWS and MPAS4 for longevity but I suspect car will feel a bit more noodle-y.

A friend can get my Conti ECS02 for reasonable price but unsure on ECS longevity as well.. decisions decisions.

Will you detail the engine bay as well?

I usually wait til April-may to clean the bay up a bit. When I know they won't salt anymore.
Header coating has taken a beating, now wishing I got it black so I don't see the gunk that's permanently imbedded now

Ended up settling with Conti ECS02s in 245/40r17. Need to live with them a bit but they ride better than RS4s... to nobody's surprise

Swapped out transmission fluid from amsoil to redline and bit of motyl gear mixed together. Transmission was not liking amsoil at all.

Alignment booked later this week. I have SPC toe arms to slap on night before. Zeroing toe out all around this time to maximize tire life. Will ask to have some camber pulled out from the rear.

Those Conti's will be great daily's with occasional track days mixed in. Plus the wet traction is leagues better than most 200TW tires.

If they're anything like the PS4S I ran years ago wet performance blew me away. I am not sure how much tracking I will be doing this year but I may try to get out at least once to Shannonville. Side biz paint correction/ceramic coating hustle is slowly taking up more of my free time.

Sold the old RS4s to a buddy for track Spare and ordered MCA traction mod V2, and STi trailing arms. Postponed toe arm install and alignment til everything comes in.

Haha yes.. I'm more concerned with the neighbors. Lady is a drunk, smashed into a parked car and wrote her car off half a block away.
Fortunately that's a buddies place so I don't need to live in constant state of paranoia

oh man that stinks to hear. I run Amsoil myself and it's been great off and on the track. Can I ask which one you used MTL or severe gear.

RedLine is good stuff not sure about mixing it with motylgear though kinda defeats the purpose of switching to a GL4 trans oil

I parallel park on the street in Baltimore City so it's a whole other level of paranoia. My street is pretty quiet for the area but my car still looks like I rallycross it a LOT.

I'm just committed to a wrap if/when I get off-street parking someday.
