Gtx2871 was shown off this past weekend. Gtx3071 or 76 night be a better option though

If I order FBM Kit Stage 1 Premium.. Will it comes with the necessary gaskets, since it's not shown in the picture unlike many sets.

Also, what is the major difference of the manifold (header) for the base and premium.. I saw on the pic that the premium seems to have more welded weak point... unless the base was coated with ceramic paint?

Lastly, can I order the pipes to the intercooler and turbo black or it has to be silver?

Hope this answers your question Mike

Yes it does come with all the gaskets you need.

Also, what is the major difference of the manifold (header) for the base and premium.. I saw on the pic that the premium seems to have more welded weak point... unless the base was coated with ceramic paint?

The premium uses thicker stainless material while the base uses a thinner mandrel bend material. It also has V-band inlet and outlets.

Lastly, can I order the pipes to the intercooler and turbo black or it has to be silver?

All of our pipes comes powdercoated blk

You've answered my questions. However, is there any limited quantity. Since I am thinking of buying FBM Premium Stg1 Summer 2015. Save me your best kit.

Hey guys, quick update. Water was definitely getting into the system from somewhere. I suspect it was through the air filter because I checked all the piping and it was all secure. Either way, I dried out the system.

However I am now getting a CEL for P0102: Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input.

I'm wondering if the water dripping from the MAF damaged it. I checked the connection and it is secure.

When I attempt to clear the code while idling the car dies completely and the light never turns off, which I assume is because the car isn't able to get a reading from the sensor.

Anyone have any ideas what would cause that CEL? Thinking i'll need a new MAF sensor.

The way the MAF works is by heating a wire to which a certain amount of resistance occurs when air blows by it cooling it, giving you a variance in voltage output. This is how the ECU understands how much air is flowing, depending on the resistance on the MAF wire.

Should water touch the wire (or any foreign object, oil on your finger, etc) it can and will ruin the resistance capability (calibration).

Is it possible the wire is just dirty as opposed to damaged? Would MAF cleaner be worth a try?

It's always worth a try, but to be honest you're going to need a new maf. Did you drive around in the rain for days on end?

I mean, I daily drove it through the summer. So it definitely saw heavy rains here and there.

@blackfireball5

Sound familiar? I can't help but wonder if your issue was also this users issue: water beading off the hood, in to the gasket that seals the bumper/hood, and collecting on the air filter?

Just speculation, but he claimed exactly what you did: car drove fine, sat in the rain, then hydrolocked itself.

My air filter is angled slightly down. I wonder if theirs was not?
