HELP...Drive Shaft/Rear Tire Shutter

I have approximately 1200kms on my FR-S now and yesterday morning as I was backing up out of the driveway I felt my drivers side rear tire/driveshaft shutter a bit. It's hard to describe but it was almost a chunky, notchy feeling. There were no audible sounds. When I drove away it was fine. Later in the day i felt it again, but only when turning right. After a while driving, it goes away. Last night I did some research and didn't really find anything. Again this morning as I went out for a drive, whenever I was at a stop and turning right, as I would take off into the turn, I could feel the notchyness. It's isolated to the drivers side rear and feels like the driveshaft/tire? I'm thinking it's when a load is applied to that area. And as I continue driving, and the car warms up, I don't feel it anymore. I was wondering if anyone could assist in diagnosing this. My concern is that it might get worse.

Thanks in advance,

Does it only occur when you turn right?
Have you hit any potholes or anything like that lately?

Try giving it less gas. I'm think you're feeling your TorSen working. Might be more sensitive when cold.

^^^ I agree, it's the LSD you are feeling. I get that in the morning before the car warm up as well.

Yes, that's what it is, I get it too until warmed up. It's the Positraction that feels like ratcheting. No worries yet.

Glad to know it is not just me that feels this and it is nothing too much to worry about :-)

I was feeling this too and immediately wrote it off as diff

It's a little disconcerting at times, but it's SO brief, I'm like, "Oh crap what's-" and then before I can even get into full-fledged panic mode, it's completely gone.

Ah I get this as well and didn't really think about when it occurs until I read this thread. I get it when starting out ~1k-1500 rpm in 1st on a turn, implying its LSD. Haven't paid attention if it happens after the car warms up more.

I have the same experience. I thought at first it might be traction control, but since it happens under low power, I am sure it is the diff. I hope it is not causing any undue wear and tear.

As said before, it's the diff, My truck has a LSD as well and it does the same thing around corners. You may get a little wheel chirp as well around corners, once the oil warms up you should be fine.
