mine stopped too, but I think my batteries finally died (dual pack: original batteries 2014). I still get the vacuum assist kick when engine is under heavy load but phantom not engaged, then as soon as i trigger the switch, the motor spins up and the voltage drops, and the turbine stops within 1/2 a second, the voltage goes back up and shows good again. I wonder if the auto parts store will check the batteries for me and see if I still have 2 good ones.

If your batteries are 6 years old, then I can pretty much guarantee you that your batteries are dead. I replace mine about every two years. Is your starter battery 6 years old too?

I relocated my starter battery (original factory) to the trunk when I installed the Phantom. It died/was replaced on 07/2017 with an AGM. I doubled up on the power-sonics with a dual dump, and I think that made them last much longer by halving the workload.

I'm not sure what to replace them with. I know there was a newer battery replacement option for the power-sonics, but not sure what it was. I also wonder if anyone has worked out a capacitor/super cap setup that would work to buffer battery output. I would think it would maximize initial peak current plus help the dump pack last longer.

The newer battery replacement uses a different tray. The advantage of the newer batteries is the terminal is alot more user friendly than the originals. But the PowerSonic's are alot cheaper. Just use extreme care when attaching the terminals. If you touch anything with the wrench attaching the positive terminal you'll cause an arc you won't believe.
I know. Done it a couple times. Lucky I haven't blown anything up. Yet.

just pulled the dump packs out, no surprise one of the buss bars was covered in corrosion and one of the cables as well.

found Fenton's post on page 1 listing this as the upgrade battery: http://www.batterymart.com/p-Big-Cra...6-Battery.html

I read that Big Crank is the exact same battery as Deka with different label. The cheapest I found was $88 per for the Deka EXT16, but the EXT16L with the same stats (assuming the L swaps positive location) is only $80 or 2 for $160, with a weight of 32lbs: https://www.amazon.com/Deka-Power-Sp.../dp/B0007Z2XBM

vs $142 for 4 power sonics at 48 lbs: https://www.amazon.com/Powersonic-PS.../dp/B0002ILJZU

Does anyone have any lifespan comparisons? or am I just being too picky?

I just tested new switch and it's not switch so it did not work >.<
voltage shows battery level correctly and i hear controller working but it just doesnt activate when applying switch.

I am pretty much done since i have no resource to repair.
if anyone interested, i will let whole things go with $500 plus shipping (if you're local, i will also provide battery cheap as well)

Thanks

@geraldjust don't know if you guys have seen the channel before. But this guy is coming up with his own E Charger using TP power motors and a vortech turbo housing. Rather than our 24v system he's pushing 48v lots of great information.
