Wide body Coilover help
Seeking advice on what direction to go.
Been widebodied for 6 years and my Skunk2 PRO-C coilover just took a crap. Looking to buy a new set of coils. I have 1 degree camber (basically nothing) Daily drive No track use Previously when purchasing the PRO-C coils I upgraded the springs to 10k front/back. The ride for years hasn’t been ideal but it did the job I suppose… Coils did have too much flex for my liking as I would rub on the rear fender. Seeking anything within reason. I remember buying these based on color as red/white theme looked cool but obviously not the right reason to buy coils. On the bright side 100k miles later one finally gave out. Not bad. |

Picked up some SKUNK 2 PRO ST’s yesterday, however to be 100% honest they’re the same as my PRO C’s.
I’m really wanting some extreme input here as I haven’t opened the box to install these yet. I want comfort. I daily the car. No track use. I drive the car hard. I’m widebodied with 11 inch rears. I HATE how these skunk 2 coils have a lot of travel and grind on my wide body kit on the rear. Could have just been dialed in wrong all along but doubt it since they were dialed in at their shop in Norco CA. |

It sounds like you are too low for your wheel offset and it is causes the tires to rub the fenders. If you are that low you are not going to have much bump travel, so they are going to be harsh and into the bump stops. You need to provide more details on your setup for people to help you.
