He bought the wrong one the first time. He has the GR STI with status LED. Our BRZ ones don't have a status LED as this light is integrated into the cluster.

The one you saw in my car (without status LED) is the BRZ STI button.

No, it's the GR,GV,+++ every other Suby model version. The way that you can tell the difference is the LED indicator. The BRZ version doesn't have this LED.

Correct; to clarify for everyone: he's using a different Toyota smart key system where the status LED in the button works.

Confirming, the advanced keys system utilizes the Lexus start switch LEDs to indicate the current Ign mode.

He's not a member but I know the guy. He's down in the West Palm Beach area. He still has to use the key although he is planning on having a smart key system added in the future.
