Started playing Arkham City I bought during the Steam sale a few weeks back. (Yes, I'm so cheap I run that far behind on games)

I love being able to fulfill my lifelong dream of being Batman. I wish all the superhero games were this good.

Played FIFA 13 til the wee hours last night. Gameplay is much improved and less frustrating. I'm disappointed that you can't carry your virtual pro into offline career mode but I'll manage. The rest of it is so much better.

That's up to you though, but I did see Sleeping Dogs for sale at Best Buy for $40 last night. I was tempted to pick that up and it might be that price for now until spring unless it goes on sale for Black Friday.
Haven't played DOA in a long long time. Wasn't a big favorite of mine.

Yeah, I saw it on sale also. I think during the holidays it'll go down a bit.

FIFA 13 just feels better all around. I haven't had so much fun on a FIFA game for a while.

Yea, FIFA 13 is awesome. I can't wait to get the call from the International team in career mode. They made so many improvements to this game!

I'll probably pick up FIFA 13 over the weekend. What bugs me the most about the game is the defense. I've been having trouble playing it when I'm using World Class difficulty. I don't know if anyone has had similar problems with it or if it was just the demo.

@ichitaka05, Have you tried the story mode yet in DOA5? Its different from the past games, but imo its done in a good way to ease the player back into the game. I like how the tips/tutorial gets harder as the story progresses which helped out a lot. I forgot how difficult it was to remember every move to beat the next opponent. Anyway just figure I pass that along. I thought at first when I got the game that I should start playing in vs. mode to get some good practice in but that was a dead end from the start.

Yeah, I beat the story mode already (first night). I got most of those "titles"... but almost at the end, I was getting really pissed by how Bass got and I just forget bout it.

Oh also if you go through training command mode (or something like that in training), you can get the voices for that chara... except VF chara.

btw, did you play online? Is it lagging as much as one of the first PS3 fighting game. Seriously, they really need to do something bout that lag... or maybe just PS3?

I thought of getting that game. So can you give me more detail on how the game play is?

Basically, its a (relatively small) Open World stealth game with multiple storylines you follow, puzzles to solve, lots of level ups to learn, and lots of BatStuff to use as the story progresses. There is a lot of hand-to-hand combat but it's stylized and relatively simplistic, no real complicated 15 button combo strikes.

Best description I've heard of the fight mechanics is its more like a directed story than actual fighting. You point in the direction you want Batman to attack, direct attack or counter, and he does. The more hits you get in a row the more dramatic the choreographed moves.

You also play some portions of Arkham City as CatWoman. Meow!

Since Arkham Asylum is a separate game, and older, you probably want to go with that one first. The mechanics and engines are pretty much the same, its cheaper, and it gives you some history you'll want to know for City.

Looking forward to Resident Evil 6 now. Played the demo a bit. Enjoyed it a lot. Also watched Damnation, the new RE CGI movie. It was better then the latest live action RE movie with Alice as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, I finished the story mode too. Kinda wish they added the personal videos for each character after you've beaten the game. I thought those were pretty cool. And switching the voices back sounds better. I guess I couldn't get over the characters speaking in english and not sound the same before.

I have to ask you though what made you so mad about Bass?

Anyway, I haven't gone online for 1 on 1 fights yet, but I'll be checking it today.
And if it might help, due to the lagging or perhaps a bad frame rate issue ; have you tried disabling all the extra action and effects off yet? That may be the answer to your problem.

And man its too bad I don't have a PS3... yet, I wonder how much of a challenge you would be in DOA. :happy0180:

Yeah, it's nice to have Japanese voice coming out of Kasumi & Ayane for me lol Oh and I notice that, I have my option setup as voice - Japanese and text - English... next day when I go back to play, it goes back to v - JP, t - EN... WTF! I have my PS3 in Japanese, so I can message Japanese to my friends in Japan. DoA5 isn't saving any option, so every time I go back to play, I gotta fix that.

As for a Bass, maybe cuz I don't know much move of Bass so that's why it annoys me. vs or using him, it's hard to get the title. I ALMOST thrown my controller at the TV.

Looks like most of the trophies/achievements are online battle. As for lagging, I haven't play online much. I usually play w my friends, so I rarely go online to battle. Even Tekken, I just played it til I got my trophies & that was it.
