Don't go to stoneridge. I work at stoneridge and mall security will kick you out. I was shooting my evo on the lot after work and they kicked me out

The thing is, I might be going up to watch friends race at the 25 Hours race that weekend. If not though I might come check it out.
Usually there is a few spots available at SFR scca events for guests, and they pay a weekend membership fee for insurance, etc. This fee is credited for a yearly membership, but you have to keep your paperwork for numbers. Several people come and see whats going on, and the SF Region events can be well attended.

I thought the 25 was this weekend. I may run up there and check out some friends then, especially if I haven't cracked the 1k mark.

bummer but good to know. hopefully Great Mall will be better.

OK so again, we have an unofficial meet set for tomorrow! Those who wanted a meet, here you go!

SATURDAY DEC 1, 10AM - The Great Mall covered parking garage near D&B.
Meet, hang out, if security hassles us we're waiting for D&B to open so we can play video games/shoot pool/eat lunch

I will just put this out there, as a possible epic drive. It's over 100 miles of driving if you do the whole route, so make sure you have at least half a tank of gas before you leave! If no one wants to go this time we can save it for another day.

yeah maybe 10 years ago I did join SFR SCCA and autox'd at Oakland, GGF, Candlestick... events were always crowded and I felt like I got minimal driving time for the $40 I paid and still had to burn at least half a day "working" there. So I switched to track days and didn't look back. AutoX is a great experience for new owners of cars who've never pushed a car to the limits before though.

Exactly! I autox with the Fresno and Sacramento groups who have been great to work with and have many less competitors. I like track days too, but the wallet can only handle so much.

Hey guys, I really want to meet up but I've been doing a lot of traveling on the road for work this week. I'm beat so I'm going to skip the long drive down 680 tomorrow.

If folks in the Diablo Valley area are interested in setting something up locally for Saturday or Sunday AM I'd be down, otherwise I can try to head down south next weekend.

I'd be down to go to Great Mall. In reality it's only like 4 miles from Valley Fair.

Also about the AutoX stuff I've never done SCCA in Cali, but I've not been a fan of SCCA events elsewhere.

If no one wants to go for a drive and/or turnout is low today at Great Mall, I might just walk in and buy a toy then stop by the Toy Drive on my way home. Worthy cause and feeling a little guilty after blowing some money on more parts.

Damn, wished I took a look here, I had nothing to do this weekend so decided to go backpacking with a buddy of mine.

This would have been fun, I used to do this with my riding group. Great excuse to go to biglots and buy a bunch of toys that I would want, its for a great cause.

Haha, this is pretty much the route I had in mind for the next big Norcal meet, so whoever is planning on going, this would be a good preview (although a little more wet than usual, please be careful!). @PMok, its been a while since I've gone down Mines rd., is there a good stop in the "middle" for a group gathering? I know there used to be a little dinner/grill in the middle, where it splits off to 130

You guys have fun, I'm gonna go make a weak fire and sit in the rain, lol
