I hate click bait headlines too (and fallen victim to many myself)... but I guess it's not really anything new... you ever watch the evening news (or an ad for the evening news) and they lead off with some tantalizing hints of stories to come... "Is the water you drink at home safe for you and your family? We talked to local scientists and health safety experts and the results will surprise you... more tonight at 8PM." Then you watch it and the results are basically... unsurprising.

I just don't click it in the first place. The best way to get rid of it is not to click and they will see the analytics and change their approach.
