Quick question: Anyone know if there's been word on a tune available for the 2017? I don't know what differences there would be with the 2017 engine tweaks, but I was just curious.

We've put 60k miles on our C30-94 blower (still original one) and we have not been the nicest to our car.

We replaced 1 belt because someone decided to change the oil after not sleeping for 48 hours and basically soaked the belt with oil. Other than that, it's been essentially flawless.

Just finished all 278 pages of this thread. I think im set on the JRSC. Main question is if it will fit and if there is a tune for the 2017?

Any recommendations for further upgrades before getting a dyno tune?

I have an appointment to get my car dyno tuned by Bill from Delicious Tuning next month and wanted to know if there are any other parts I should look into purchasing before receiving the tune to maximize gain? For example, should I look into replacing my current HKS header with an Ace header? Maybe upgrading to a larger diameter throttle body? Etc etc

Here are my current mods:
-JRSC c38 kit
-Delicious Tuning Flex Fuel Kit
-DW 700cc Injectors
-DW 300c Fuel Pump
-HKS EL header
-Greddy SP Axle Back Exhaust

I have a HBP on order that should be in soon.

Is your engine built? I had a c30 kit with flex fuel and ace header, snapped a rod. I recommend conservative approach, unless you can afford a new engine. Experience talking. Delicious does great work though,I was very pleased with the car as it was tuned by them. Very happy! Now it's gonna be very strong😃

Any info as to what caused you to snap a rod? What whp were you pushing? I have similar setup and am curious.

I think these cars have oil pressure issues inherently, which I believe probably caused a bearing to spin, resulting in a broken rod. Or, the rod simply broke. I offer the second possibility, as my engine never made any strange noises, or gave me any indication of an impending failure whatsoever. I was driving in the rain, got up to 40mph rather conservatively, and once my speed was stabilized at 40, I went maybe 200 feet and the engine quit. It was a strange mix of noise, literally every light on my dashboard came on ( including both turn signal indicators on steady), and a huge cloud of white smoke that literally caused everything behind me to vanish. I also had little bits of metal bouncing down the road beside me. I now have a window under my intake manifold that is about 10 inches long by one inch wide. Carnage, pure carnage. I am about to walk into the garage, repair my broken garage door spring, and pull the engine. I will take it to the engine builder who can hopefully salvage the heads and timing cover. Getting more power and rpm, and I am getting an improved drivetrain (think stronger transmission). I will reveal more on that when the option I am going with is officially released. I believe a lot of people are going to want to know about this. I was a little north of 350 whp when my engine blew btw. This is not a cheap engine to build. I mean really not cheap! But, I don't want to destroy the character of the car by doing an LS swap or something like that. Just what I want...! I don't mind others doing it, it just isn't for me.

So how many of us running the JRSC are also using lightweight pulleys?

I have been running the C38 w/HBP and the Raceseng pulleys for about 12,000 miles without any issues.

Just want to see if anyone else was also running them and if there is any difference in power using them?

Appreciate the reply. I do have the money to afford another motor. I keep hearing anecdotes about how and why motors blow.

I'll ask to see how we can tune out some of the torque when I get the car tuned.
