Center Armrest
Since someone was nice enough to make this sub-forum, I'll use it. Has anyone yet seen or heard of a proposed aftermarket solution for adding an armrest/cover above the cupholders? I did some searching, and there are definitely people talking about wanting one, and a few talking about making one by hand, but I haven't seen anything about one that might be made for sale. I'll make one if I have to, but I might prefer to pay someone who's better at that sort of thing than I am ('cause I ain't great).

Yeah, I haven't found it yet, but there was an accessories list featuring an armrest.

I'm thinking this is for a different car. The car with the fogs underneath the console pic isn't an 86/BRZ... Anyone else agree?

Supposedly the pics are for the Scion (placeholders?), but it has the 86 chassis code at the top.

Those pics are place holders from the Scion tC until actual FR-S pics are available.

Heck, they look the exact same in the center so I'd buy the FR-S console for my BRZ if I had to have it. Doubt it would have Scion stamped all over it... Or I'd hope not anyway!

Funny I never noticed till this thread. I use the arm rest when shifting in my current car. This might be hard to adjust to.

Good point. The only difference, really, would be if Subaru offered one in Alcantara to match the Limited interior. I don't have much experience with manufacturer accessories, but it seems like they might not spend the money on Alcantara for a relatively small, possibly low-demand item like an optional armrest. I would guess that all three interiors (FR-S, Premium, Limited) would get the same vinyl or cloth covering.

This was an option my Impreza came with and I never thought much about it till I drove one that didn't have it. On the Impreza it's super easy to install and I'm sure they would be interchangeable. If needed you could even do an alcantara wrap.

Trust me, put your hand on your knee and put your arm up to your elbow on your thigh. Less pressure on the shoulder holding your weight on it and your hand is closer to the wheel in the event you need to grab it quickly
