Anyone drive illegally without a front plate?

It's been 2 years of ownership and I've been pulled over twice... Both times I got off with no ticket and just a warning.

I also received the first parking ticket of my life last week (I was minutes away from the car, and ran into the meter maid as he was writing the ticket), the meter maid walked around the car and stared at the front for a bit but ultimately didn't ticket for no plate...

This all occurred in NJ, if you're running without one be ready to pay the consequences.

Even after getting away with it for two years, I'm starting to lean towards finding a permanent* mounting option... The extra attention (when you're already getting extra attention because of your race) is starting to become a hassle...

*I have a really ugly cheap towhook mount which came with the car. I throw it on at the end of every month when ticketing gets ramped up a notch as troopers try to meet their quota.

I haven't had a front plate for... 25 years? two 240SXs, an FD3S, an RX-8 and now my 86. Never had a problem, been pulled over or got a parking ticket. One time I walked out of a restaurant and saw two cops standing in front of my car, walked up to them and they just asked about my clear bra. lol. Oh, and I live in the PNW (Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; and currently Vancouver, WA). It was literally the first thing I did when I got my 86 home last week. Now I have to fix the holes.

2 years and no issues unit I had a written warning to fix it after getting pulled over...but when spring comes and the summer wheels go back on, the plate is coming off.

Ive been running mine with one for over 2 years and just recently took it off. lets see how long it will take before i get a ticket for it...
