Installing both 14mm and 16mm camber bolt

I have my first track day coming on Wednesday. So I am planned to do brake pads (Hawk HPS 5.0 for now but also have Ferodo DS2500 on order) and fluid (Castrol SRF) replacement tomorrow. I ordered and received SPC 81305 bottom camber bolt and whiteline KCA416 and planning to install them tomorrow as well. I booked free wheel alignment check appointment as Goodyear to just get number and see if something isn't horribly wrong afterwards.

Sharing to get feedback if I am doing something wrong. I might end up keeping the OEM pads, selling set of Hawk HPS 5.0 and installing Ferodo DS2500 when they arrive later than track day.

Technically you can just take the lower OEM bolt that you are replacing with the 1305 and use it in the upper hole. That's the OEM crash bolt solution.

Either way that's roughly good for -2° camber range which will feel nice compared to OEM alignment specs.

Toe would shift when adding camber so that would definitely will need to be addressed. Ask the tech to do a specific setting, not just in the green. Zero front toe and slight rear toe in is the recommended starting point.

All is good. As mentioned, most folks put camber bolts in the bottom and reuse the OEM bottom bolts in the top. This works but is less convenient to adjust and might give less camber. I'm running camber bolts top and bottom and it works very well.

Thanks, that makes it complicated, I am busy since Monday and won't be able to get to real shop to get the job done. Goodyear won't be able to do a good job. Seems like I would do the job later.

All is good. As mentioned, most folks put camber bolts in the bottom and reuse the OEM bottom bolts in the top. This works but is less convenient to adjust and might give less camber. I'm running camber bolts top and bottom and it works very well.

What number would be slight rear toe? I am receiving brake pads tomorrow, so planning to install everything over weekend and get alignment checked, then if required find a specific shop to do the job.

0.1 degrees total rear toe is fine.
= 6 arc-minutes =1mm = .040in. total rear toe if shop doesn’t use degrees.

I was able to get 2.4 degree negative camber on front. I think alignment guy did a great job with numbers.

I'm nervous in this regard for a future shop. Knew one fantastic one about 30 mins from my area that did alignments and suspension work. They got my camber and toe alignments to the DOT with EXACT values that I asked for. It was a lovely sheet of paper to look at. Unfortunately they split and closed through COVID and now I only know typical good local shops that my friends recommend... which based on seeing their results, I just know it's not going to be quite the same.

That sucks. I had this awesome shop near me when I lived in Raleigh, the guy happily talked with me about sway bar install, did amazing job and didn't bankrupt me. I moved out of the state few years ago.
