When will we return to normal, or never? Is this Covid situation the next big change in human evolution?

Enjoying the resulting acceleration of some government and company agendas from profit to sustainability..

On the one hand our government is saying "build, build, build". Relaxing planning rules to make it easier and quicker to kick-start projects, however on the other hand we have the economy slipping from the predicted 20% drop to a less scary 9%.. With this we have redundancies, people less inclined to spend, so who's going to buy the new homes? Wealthy landlords and businesses that are liquid..

My employer announced some amazing profits for their American arm this week, and about a week ago announced job cuts in the UK. You would think that instead of feeding the shareholders why not save jobs as they will need the professionals to service the predicted boom that government is backing...

Fucked up "sustainable" thinking!!!

I hope we return to normal or my industry is fucked. We are down around 70% the last two months and plummeting to a 50% downturn on the year so far.

I used to drive around under the pretense of "going to the store" and stop to get groceries when I was done. Now I just go out and drive around, only stopping when I run out of gas. Still nowhere near as much as when I first got the car, but that has more to do with being 6 years older and my legs starting to cramp up eventually.

Unfortunate timing for sure. Well the roads are still up here, and if you ever find yourself back up this way and want to drive a Harrop SC'd BRZ, lemme know.
