Do you have an oil cooler? Purely curious.

Ah was hoping to avoid the guess and check procedure, good copy though.
That's a negative. I was keeping an eye on oil temps when temps were hovering around 100 and I was never breaking 245, even with combos of very spirited driving highway + stop and go traffic to stress it and try to see how high it would go. As I understand, 260 is the danger mark, but correct me if I'm wrong there. Wasn't planning on installing an oil cooler until I converted it to a dedicated track car.

The code should tell you which cylinder is causing the misfire which then will tell you which coil pack to replace

Not getting a misfire code, or any code besides a bank 1 rich, which *could* help narrow it down to cylinder 1 or 3 assuming it's related. Cylinder 3 was the actual misfire before I swapped the plugs last time so it may just be the hottest cylinder.

Oil cooler won't help overheated coil packs.
NV is just way too hot no matter what you do. You could try to improve airflow to it, you could try to install a custom heat shield. Tons of people have tried various things before. https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...=30879&page=34

Did you run the smoke test. Vacuum leaks can cause weird symptoms. Ask me how I know.

I was reading a carbible about FRS today and it mentioned that to remedy coil pack problems some owners had the wiring harnesses replaced under warranty

He is way past that. Its not cheap as you need to get 4 new coils and upgrade to the new wire harness from the late 2015's
