Very sloppy / limp gear stick

Replaced my gearbox today
New forged fork
New throw out
Clutch
Motul g300 oil
Mtec shifter springs

Popped it all in, jumped in the car and Instantly noticed the lack for force back
I basically have to guide it into every gear

Any idea what’s causing this ?

Did you get into a Honda by accident?

As Ash said check all your springs, and bushings.
Here are the manuals

There are two centering springs from sides of gearbox case. Check vids on replacing to a bit stiffer ones by Mtec. As what they do is increasing centering force for lever, i strongly suspect something wrong with those. Maybe stock ones forgot to be put back after whatever maintenance work performed?

I am going to guess rear shifter bushing not attached or missing.

I don't see what the big deal is here. My old lady has been accusing me of this for years.

I also have a limp stick, but I'm 67 years old so I just assumed it's normal.

Here's brand placement for you. I'd love to be the sales rep pitching Pfizer to order these. This was actually a giveaway in 2007 in Kuwait.

It's ironic since Viagra will prevent you from needing to put on the brakes. lol

LOL, mostly looked vid, missed their mention after it
Still, "installed" seems rather "misinstalled". Something obvious/simple .. as they are of different length, maybe used wrong one at wrong side?

I've had left-right centering issues with my shifter although my problem was that the shifter was sticking as it came into center, so I'd keep missing gear shifts. I've tried everything people mentioned here including a new rear bushing and the mtec springs, so I know the effects of these things.

For clarity, the mtec springs are only up/down (fore/aft) centering, and make for a more positive shift feeling as you are going in and out of gear. This is clearly not your problem as you are having left/right sloppiness.

Some people have mentioned the rear shift bushing and if it's missing, it can cause a sloppy feeling so check for that, but seeing your video, and knowing how my shifter felt without it, I not sure that is your culprit. Still, it's easy enough to check because it's visible from under the car or by removing the shift boot from inside the car and looking towards the back, so make sure it's there. If it's not, put it in and see what happens.

If that's not the issue then most likely there is something missing or wrong in the assembly in the transmission. Left/right centering is handled by bushings and detents in the transmission. I personally reached this point with my transmission and took it to a local transmission shop and $450 later, my problem was solved. YMMV.

"For clarity, the mtec springs are only up/down (fore/aft) centering", hmm, are you so sure on that?
They certainly changed centering force for me from sides, from 1-2 & 5-6 to 3-4. And given that they are bolted in from sides from gearbox, that's what they should. I'm suspecting, that some other mod you done at same time made impression that they do other thing then what they were designed for. What affected ease of getting into gears, mentioned up-down, was oil and transmission mount & gearbox bushing. Nothing in relation "centering" right-left, which mtec's did. Even ftspeed's video at mtec spring product page tells that it's about centering right-left.
