Does it matter? Do people even drive hypercars? I thought they are for the 1% folks to hard park them for eternity..

Interdasting......

So it could be anything, either a modern day MR2, Toyota's take on a Lotus Evora or a 6 figure supercar...

Akio must really want his third brother sports car lol

It'll be a while... & tbh not sure if it'll get 2nd green light to even show it off the concept design (for several reasons).

Actually, this wasn't in the plan iirc... it came AFTER 86? There are several other projects in plans now... but sadly I only know very few with very limited info.

Yea, I was afraid you'd say that...I don't have a while unfortunately.

It's all up to how one of the deal works out (I think). But who know, we might be able to see sooner... but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Budget NSX would be nice. Honestly leave out the hybrid junk; don't care for it at all.

SSR might as well not even exist for me. Too expensive and hybrid.

bleh.

with how the world is now i think two sport cars will be the max for many automakers. after the current Supra i think Toyota will take a similar position to Nissan. a $30k-$40k Z & 86 for the mass and a $100kish GTR & unnamed mid-engine hybrid for those with deep pockets.

This isn’t a Camry hybrid. It’s based off of their LMP1h prototype car. That hybrid system is meant to deploy maximum power as efficiently as possible. (Think torque fill and/or all wheel drive but with brutal intelligence).

It’s already confirmed that Toyota will compete in the new Hypercar halo/top class in the WEC and to do so they need 20 homologation specials. Price tag of $2-3 million is floating around and sounds about right actually. This will be beyond the realm of 99.99999% of Toyota’s demographic
See: Nissan R390 GT1, Mercedes CLK GTR, Porsche GT1 road cars.
