Looks much better as a final product. Thought the uprights looked just a little rough before.

I do wish it was a little wider myself but then I think the bottom of the mounts might look funny.

If wider it would look like the '99 3000GT VR4, not bad but not what I was going after.

Where did it mention what you did to the taillights? Are those Red Toms with a Clear lens swap?

They are actually red Tom's with Depo Tri-bar smoke lense swap

I'm curious because I've been looking to clear the lenses for my taillights as well.

But would this actually work? (spraying something like brake cleaner to remove the red vht coating on the lenses) and then smoking them, rather than swapping the lenses?

If we are talking about the Tom's I found out later that you can remove the red from the inside with acetone. For the smoke finish I wouldn't paint them as it would create uneven covering with some darker spots. Use a smoke vinyl for that purpose.

It's not possible to bake them like other brands/models since the plastic is welded. Cutting was the only way.
