Talking Removing the red stitching?

Don't know if any of you actually want to remove the red stitching all together but it is possible everywhere but the steering wheel. I did it and made a short vid talking about it one before and one after. Hope this helps anyone

I just finished upgrading my interior. It’s a 2013 BRZ so it had silver trim and no padding.

I replaced all the silver trim with JDM black and got all the OEM black leather + red stitching bits... well I still need to do the gauge hood and armrest actually.

I found the OEM wet carbon fiber climate controls and window switches off eBay. They came off a 2018 tS that was total’ed at low mileage. The buttons and dials feel brand new like they’ve never been used. It was all plug-and-play since I had the dual climate control already.

I installed everything but the door stuff a month ago, then finished the door stuff earlier today.

Some of the trim looks silver in the pics but that’s just how the pic came out cuz of the sun, it’s all that JDM soft black that a lot of other in previous pages of this thread also did.

I’m excited, it looks a million times better than it did!

Update: since Coronavirus had me no longer doing the daily commute, I took out the seat belts and had Safety Restore replace the webbing to red.

After de-stitching is it possible to get in from behind and re-stitch another color.

You can remove the material and stitch in a new color. I've removed all the red stitching and replaced it with black, minus the seats. They are being replaced with leather in the future.

Have you tried a Bissell Little Green Machine?

I was thinking about going the Safety Restore route as well, which red did you end up picking?

Looks great!

Was it easy to take out and re install? Any airbag or battery precautions that is needed?

Thanks

Did not know their were other shift knob options for the A/T. Would you mind sharing a link? Looks great

I think they're discontinued but I believe I found this one on Rallysportdirect.

A new steering wheel has to be one of the best upgrades to the interior.
Also have my aftermarket Sony headunit here which turned out to be one of the most difficult modifications I have done only because I know nothing about wiring.

Sorry I haven't been on here in awhile, most places the stuff was glued on to the back, so if you were careful, yes. But you'd have to do it from the front.

Raceseng makes an adapter for the AT shifter to use any of their knobs.

I glued an 86 emblem from emblems only.com.
