Cool Neptune Blue with Ceramic Pro installed

Over the moon with how she turned out--the blue is even more amazing after the corrections/ceramic coating!

Also beginning to work through photos from the day of pickup (including this sunrise) so I can flood IG:

Beautiful! Excellent cinematography as well. Needs a soundtrack.

Thank you! Will definitely be making an edited down version with other clips and some of the photos once I'm through editing them.

I hear that ceramic coats look even better as they have time to cure.

And I'd say the opposite, no soundtrack needed! Silence is golden.

No badge up front? Do you have to wait to reinstall one?

Well, I ordered the flat black "86" stylized badges back in October. When time came this spring and I booked my spot with the detailer, I finally debadged and test fit the badges, and they were way off in fitment...meant for 13-17 FRS style bumpers. So in the car went to the detailer without badges..2 days later my replacement-replacements arrived:

When you took off the badges, did you use floss? I was thinking of removing the "frs" from the trunk for symmetrical reasons but I don't wanna damage the paint

I know what you mean. I ended up adding a sticker to the other side to kind of balance the FRS badge. Works OK.

heat gun, 3m adhesive remover, hot day, tons of patience. People have used hair dryers successfully instead of a heat gun.

The floss did indeed leave some marks, but probably wax/whatever is on the floss transferring onto the clear more than the clear being damaged. Any marks from the floss were pretty easily compounded out.

The process is a job and a half though, most of my time spent on the front badge. Not easy, not for the faint of heart. Toyota has those badges on with some sort of super 3M, and the locating/fastening pins on the front badge are in there super good...broke those, the emblem was in-tact, but I'm pretty sure you don't have locating pins on the FRS so some heat and the floss should fly right through. Be ready with some compound/polish to clean up inevitable smudges/scratches induced, but you'll be good!

Yea the key is getting it nice and hot. I set up a hair dryer at max settings for 10 mins, then dental floss in a sawing motion to get it started. Adhesive remover can help, but only after you remove all the double side tape foam chunks. After it’s all off hit it with a mild hand polish (like ScratchX) and get some wax on it.

Wow thanks for all the tips. I don't know if I would have thought to apply heat first in this case, but it makes a lot of sense. Might have to give this a go soon. I wish someone made a bronze badge set up. That'd look killer on the Oceanic paint
