No Revlimiter? Help

I recently purchased a 2016 frs with the JDL Turbo kit.

The previous owner told me the car was dyno tuned (have proof of the chart) with Ecutek.

He included the Ecutek (looks like a standard OFT, not Ecutek)

My issue is there doesn't seem to be a revlimiter in place. I've seen the car rev to 8,000rpms when traction breaks loose and obviously I want to put an end to that. I do plan to slide the car so watching the revs in that range isn't always the easiest and would like a fallback.

Can I add a revlimiter with the OFT WITHOUT wiping and software or tuning that was done on the dyno?

I'm obviously new to this and want to do it right.

No, it needs to be rewritten, so either you find the tuner that did the tune ( and hopefully still has your tune somewhere) or you need to retune from scratch

Woulda just walked away right there.
Pics of the tuning solution just to be clear would help.

If it's ecutek tuned you won't be able to read tune from ECU.

Your only chance would be get copy of tune from the original tuner, or get them to lower the rev limiter

If it's oft tuned you can read tune out with another tool like less or tactrix. But tune may also be on oft

I'd get ahold of the seller and ask who tuned it as mentioned earlier, and then get ahold of the tuner. He may have given you an OFT but I would be surprised if it was tuned for the turbo with it.

if he has oft anyway it s easier as Steve said, maybe he even has the tunes saved in his oft?

Even tuner level ecutek you can only read out your own tunes, you cannot read out other tuners tunes.

With tuner level you can read tunes out with ecutek but only tunes you wrote in you won't be able to read tunes written by a different tuner

The dump or read for ecutek reads but it in encrypted format that cannot be used other than by ecutek in england

Rev limiter is set to 8k.

Got a hold of the turner but they would not provide any info related to the car.

I let it warm up and pinned it and it stopped at 8k.

It does occasionally stop at 4k as if it has launch control but this isn't repeatable consistently, which seems odd.
