Dealership got one light in and now I'm waiting on the other. I've been waiting over 3 weeks! They say the lights are on back order.

Sorry about that.

I haven't personally seen this issue yet, but I live in a semi-arid climate. Most people around here would be happy to see moisture condense anywhere.

Happened to me a month after I got the car. No problems, I got it fixed. However, it seems like I have the worst luck because yesterday my replacement light had condensation in it. FML. Back to the dealer for me.

Noticed yesterday the drivers side had condensation.. i've noticed it a few times on the passenger side.

I may call and have them order the tail lights, and see if I can keep my old ones, and I'll try and "mod" them to fix them myself.

Looks like I'm joining this exclusive club. Probably won't get the car into the dealer for another week or so.

Here are the official TSB numbers for tail light condensation for Subaru of Canada and for Subaru of America:

Subaru of America: 12-131-12

Subaru of Canada: 12.03.12

Both of my taillights replaced under warranty, the key is bringing it to them with condensation, just makes thing easier.

Noticed this morning that my passenger side tail had a quartersized piece of condensation on the top...went away a few hours later.....cmon toyota, if the car itself wasnt so damn good i would be more upset, lol

I bet if they had all red tails like we all want it wouldnt stand out as bad

Noticed condensation in the passenger side tail light assembly. Took it to the dealership. They took pictures to send in to Toyota. Hopefully it will be replaced. The dealership said they were not aware of the problem with the FR-S.

Update 6/21/2014
Dealer replaced the assembly the following month in 2012. Now the driver side assembly has condensation and sitting water. Supposed to hear from the dealership after they hear from Toyota.

I brought this issue up with my dealer while my car was in for a P0019 CEL fix. The service adviser said the foreman "couldn't find any evidence of there being condensation." Those were her exact words. Fortunately I KNEW something like this would happen so I document anything and everything that happens with my car. I just so happen to have snapped some photos of the condensation when I first noticed it.

Just because whoever was working on my vehicle couldn't reproduce the problem, doesn't mean it does not exist. I'm an auto tech myself and I'm highly uncomfortable leaving my car with a bunch of people I don't know. Not to mention I don't even know if they're ASE certified, or have been trained properly by Toyota/Subaru to work on these vehicles.

It's really a shame that the CUSTOMER has to come up with evidence of the issue before they take it seriously. It's ridiculous.

what a tragedy. I hope things will go smooth when i take mine in. Seeing as so many of us here have already reported it -- i am hoping that by the time i take mine for the 3,500 or so Oil change (free for 2 years) even tho i would much rather do it myself and with my own oil --- that they will have a quick and easy fix/ resolution. Of course you already know that i will have pics/ videos/ documentations of EVERYTHING

Contacted my dealership over 6 weeks ago about my condensation issue...no replacement tail lamp has arrived yet. They tell me two more weeks or so.
