Dropped mine at the dealer this morning. Both are fogging up. The first idiot writer tried to tell me its normal for the headlights and taillights to fog up. I told him to check the TSB. Then i said can you check the shifter it feels really "crunchy" but not normal. He said "you need to break it in still" Ive got 3400 miles on the car already its well broken in. This is my first experience with this dealership we'll see what happens but that first guy turned me off.

Just got back from the dealer. Since my taillights had dried out (after 4 days) they told me I had to come back when there is visible condesation even though my vin fell into the first 1678 cars that the TSB stated were affected and I had several pictures of each lamp with water in it. He said they needed to document it for Subaru. The guy at this dealership was a bit of a jerk. This was the same guy who earlier told me it was normal for the front and rear to fog up a bit. He also told me to stay off the forums because I'll be hearing things that don't really exist! What a moron. This was my first and possibly last experience with them.

Stay off the forums...haha, why so you can't get the fixes and tsb's the dealers will never tell you about...what a douche.

At the dealership again, got them to take a look at the car this time and I think they'll be ordering the part as well. Took it in an hour ago though, how long do they need to inspect a damn taillight lol

honnestly some of these guys working at dealerships need to get fired because they are not giving you the proper services but just scheming you just like a telemarketer tries to haggle you when they call you.

I went to my dealership yesterday and they told me it was normal because they are vented tail lights. Going back on Monday since apparently the only person with "BRZ experience" is the shop foreman and he wasn't there this weekend.

Is there a PDF of the TSB we can print and bring with us when going to the dealer so that we don't get "this is normal"?

Whoever you spoke with is a complete idiot. Make sure you bring that up with the Foreman.

I posted a page from the Subaru TSB on page 4 (might be page 8 for you depending on how many posts per page you have the forum set up for). If you think a Subaru one is good enough shoot me a PM with your email and I'll get a more proper scan of it to send you.

I've attached it. It's Subaru-centric but if your Scion service tech knows what he's doing he should understand.

One thing I'd like to know, is there a way to find Manufacturing date on our cars somewhere? If it's anytime after May '12 you shouldn't see the condensation, or so I think. I've tried finding a badge or metal plate in the door or under the hood. Any ideas?

It's on the sticker in the door jamb.
