Sounds good! Looks like your car will be in the mid-November boat from Japan.

Mine updated today as well, showing 07/01/2013. Still think that pre-xmas delivery is possible, if the stevedores don't take off the week leading to xmas that is....

You guys need to realise that almost all of these dealers are individual companies and have to front the capital for each and every car they order. If they have one of their customers such as yourself cancel an order, they have zero to gain from offering that car up to one of their competitor dealers for purchase. Most of them will either offer them to their own existing order customers (zero gain, but good business practice), or cycle their demo cars, which right now will land them about 5k per vehicle. A few will list them straight on carsales like this car fred just got but it's not the way for them to maximise profit on the vehicle.

'Freds' car was NOT listed on 'Carsales'. The Dealer knows me and that I have been waiting since release for mine .. the same Dealer also has a GTS manual with Aero as a 'demo' but they will be holding it for 6-8 months. As such he rang and offered me the black GT, i declined and said if he wanted to I wopuld make a post here knowing so many of those coming to this site are unhappy at the delays. Within 2 minutes of me making the post Fred rang the Dealer and SOLD

If someone cancels an order, first thing the Dealer does is consult those waiting and this was done, but aall were prepared to wait for their specific colours. The same has happened at my Dealership, I have been offered two cancellations but again declined due to colours, when I'm spending that much money I want to be happy with what I end up with

mine got updated to 22/12 ETA. Just curious, if all our cars are going to be on the same boat, why are there small ETA differences? For example nix, yours is 4 days before mine. You would assume they would all arrive at the dealer at approx the same time.

Sorry I didn't follow the details on his car but by 'put it on carsales' I just meant sell it to the general public. And some dealerships really do sell them without offering them to customers unfortunately. You have one of the good ones and thanks for getting someone their car!

@ecko Different ships I guess? I think some people took delivery much earlier than it said in their tracking so GL all!

I'm assuming nix is up in Brisbane or thereabouts... +few days for the carrier to get down to Port Kembla

EDIT: and yes pretty sure they have a few ships that come out very few days away from each other.
See port shipping movements here. Most RORO ship that comes from Brisbane, and departs to Melbourne a day or two later are from JP or Thailand. (you can track all of that with some googlings)

(my car was on the CSAV Rio Grey back in July) 100% some of our cars will be on there.

aha alright. well, Adelaide is after Melbourne on the delivery trail, so I'm pretty sure yours is on an earlier boat to ecko's

from my experience it moves closer and closer as your car moves through the supply chain (things get more certain). I ended up picking my current one up 11days earlier than the initial ETA. With that in mind, yours should just nick into December.

Protip: make the dealer skip pre-delivery detailing. Shaves a few days off

That's awesome Thanks for that. Just realised we'll both have Orange 86s GTS's in Sydney! There's not many of us around so that'll be good.
