30,000 miles

Today, I replaced my wipers blades and removed the oem spoiler. (Subaru says, they don't do the inserts anymore.)
I plugged the factory holes with some neochrome dress up washers I had leftover in the toolbox.
Got 12 rubber washers, 4-6mm nuts, and 6 flat washers. What do you think? I like it!

Hit a raccoon at ~60 and cracked the bumper below the foglight, passenger side marker and fender liner ripped out. Gonna be fun waiting for the pop clips to come in when I have to drive 50+ miles of gravel roads before then.

If I ever buy a car with a wing on it I'm going to copy what you've done

I actually think that looks fantastic!

I recently wondered if I ever wanted to remove my spoiler (never!), what'd I'd do with the holes I created... now I know I'll hit you up hahah!

EDIT: Today, I ordered the Intec Fender Garnish (piano black edition). Can't wait to get it in and put em on!

I did see some of these online the other day after dismissing my idea woth the RZR LEDs. I originally eyed it on Amazon and thought theyd fit nicely, but then I got really curious and wanted to save $100 without buying em, made a test with their dimensions and it just didnt fit like I'd hoped.

But yes, a simple LED placement could work. It was just a daydream for having a pre-manufactured fang piece that fit perfectly on the FRS haha

My local subaru dealer said the same thing. I ordered online through a Subaru Dealership, and they got me both inserts recently.

I don't like the construction of the new wiper blades. The inserts/blades are just glued on.

My solution....

Simply buy a whole new blade/refill combo....

Michelin 'high performance' (fast ez-lok installation) in 20" and 22" sizes.

From Wallyworld about $6.27 each.

Do they look exactly like the originals ? No. Do I care ? No. They work nicely, and are long lasting.

Kydex hand brake cover for exposed hand brake. This is my first time I've worked with this stuff and it is truly amazing space age material that a baby could work with. Perfectly form fitting removable snap fit covers with no rattling. I can't believe this stuff isn't used more often.

We'll see how it holds up in heat.

That will definitely be the test, because enough heat will cause kydex to want to go back to its original shape, and that's when you'd get any loosening or warping.

It almost looks like those plugs are part of some sort of detachable magnetic spoiler system. it would kinda be cool if someone actually made something like that, with rare earth magnets.Six of those would pretty much guarantee that the spoiler wouldn't fly off at higher speeds...I think.

Hi ya, orz.

I just have to ask, why did you remove the OEM spoiler?

As far as your mod, it looks to me, like someone took something off your car and placed bolts in the holes left in the body -

PS - is the Giant Artichoke still in business?
