Arrow Verus CF Ducktail Spoiler

Hello fellow 86 owners,

I spoke with Clay from Verus Engineering, and have already sent an email noting my interest in their upcoming Carbon Fiber Ducktail Spoiler.

I'm writing this thread to influence other members to ALL GET IN ON THE SAME GROUP BUY for "2017+ fitment with polished finish".

His email stated:
"Group Buy Details (Excludes International Shipping):
10 Deposits: 5% and Free Shipping
15 Deposits: 10% and Free Shipping
20 or More: 15% and Free Shipping
"

My hope is that if we can get both 2013-2016 FRS/BRZ owners plus 2017+ 86/BRZ owners together in one group, we will accumulate as many people as possible in the group buy. I will also shamelessly admit that this method will allow Verus Engineering to go ahead and modify the current mold so that the spoiler will cover the holes the 2017+ GT models will have after removal of the OEM spoiler.

Conclusion: Redesign will not affect 2013-2016 fitment, will allow 2017+ with holes fitment, and accumulate as many members as possible for the highest discount (15%).

Obviously, if more individuals are interested in the matte finish over the gloss finish, we can discuss that.

Are you saying the new version will cover the spoiler holes on the 17+?

Is the 2017+ fitment happening? I had emailed Clay, and he responded yesterday telling me that they were still deciding on whether they were going to do the 2017+ fitment.

I added an email to him. I'm rather interested in this.

The last time I spoke to Clay, he specified that the 17+ fitment is on the table, but will only be done if they have at least 10 kouki owners interested.

In the same email, he stated 7 people expressed interest so far. Now with the addition of you two (and possibly a couple others I’m hounding), we may reach that goal.

I will email Clay later this week to see if he can provide an update on the total number thus far.

They have posted here and Facebook, but I think they should post specifically about the 17+ fitment on Instagram. The Facebook comments were fairly busy about the 17+ owners wanting it, but I don't think those members knew to email them.

Did the first round group buy go through? I didn't get in as there were very few buyers. If there's a second round group buy with more participants, count me in. I thought about this purchase for a couple weeks now and I've decided to get it.

I've got a 2013, so the redesign or not, I dont really care.

Please keep e-mailing as more people become interested. Clay does a great job of keeping track of these things and when/if we do it; he will inform everyone.

Spoke to Clay. They have 10 interested parties (yay!), but he can not provide an ETA as to when or if they'll decide to update their mold...

He stated that if 5 more individuals express interest, the decision to go with a new mold will be easier to make.

I like to think that quality products are worth waiting for, but I would suggest not to hold your breath for this particular situation.

Hey Guys,

We are working on finishing the initial batch of 2013-2016 units. We are waiting for feedback from this group of customers; their likes/dislikes (hopefully none) before moving forward with a 2017+ model. I hope you can understand why; tooling is multiple thousands so we want to fix any "issues" or negatives before we order more tooling.

Thanks,
Eric
