Looks like the kits are officially discontinued on rallysport. A few other places might have them still but if you're still in the market I'd hurry up and snag one before they all disappear.

Hola! Havent been on here a while. Ive jsut spent an hour catching up on everything! Some new owners I see - Welcome!

Mine been on the car 3.5 years and covered about 15k miles of which 8-10 trackdays (been slacking the last year) and a few drive training courses.

Smaller pulley has been on about a year and the car runs nicely in all situations, be in crusing on the motorway or hammering it at the track. Boost is up to about 0.7Ba peak now.

Weeder you are back in a 86/BRZ now?

I never installed a catch CAN after speaking to Matt about it and the low levels of blow by they experienced. My view is that adding more complexity in the form of extra pipe connections and routing when not needed it just adding and extra failure point for no good reason.

In other news I also run the Forester oil cooler now and it works quite nicely with the low temp T stat at keeping oil temps below 130C at the track.

I am back in an Twin, a 2017 BRZ in particular. I'm rocking the 1.3 set up by Cosworth still.
It's great your car is running so well after nearly 4 years. BTW, have you ever taken your car on any long distance cruises? I feel like Europe would be the perfect place to do that.

Probably the longest trip I have taken it is a 7 hour trip to my parents, but we stop half way so 3-4 hours at 75Mph in 25-30C heat last summer. It just plods along along with the occasional blast to please my 3 years old son LOL

Well I say that but a bleeder seized on my AP racing calipers - currently being fixed

Longest trip I've made is 5 hours. Went mostly non-stop with no issue. I had a few problems initially but I think all of these were due to installation issues. I installed the kit myself and so there was a learning curve. I had some initial vacuum leaks and a leaky fuel pump when I upgraded it. I got those fixed and Matt helped tweak the tune a bit to dial it in. Now the car runs great. I can't really say that there are any issues at all at this point. I'm averaging 28-30 real MPG with this car.


One issue I did have was a slight hesitation while under very light throttle going uphill. I looked over the ECU log and noticed that the spot where it hesitated, it recorded 0% throttle. I know I was giving it a little bit of gas and so this did not look right. The mixture would rise lean temporarily and then richen back up...


I reset the ECU and re-did the throttle calibration procedure. Only this time I added a step I read on a WRX forum. Let the engine idle until fully warmed up before touching anything.


So turned on the ignition (KOEO) and pressed the throttle 3 times to WOT for 15 seconds. Then I started the engine and let it idle with all lights off, air off, everything. It idled for about 20 minutes and when the cooling fans finally kicked in, I shut it off. Since doing this, I have not had any issue at all with hesitation. Maybe this is just an issue with the 2016. I don't know.

Same here. Had a few install hiccups but it's been running like a dream the last few months. Car is very well behaved under all conditions.

In looking into my P0171, I looked at the Fitting Instructions pdf, as I thought there was a torque spec for the bolts that hold the SC manifold in place, but it only says "fit the original manifold bolts to tighten the inlet assembly down – work across the manifold to tighten both sides down gradually"
What torque would you guys recommend?

I tightened mine in stages. 20, 40 and then 60 fl/lb. You need to be very methodical when tightening your bolts so that you compress your gasket evenly.
