I envy your summer camp...

WOW! That is something else!

Maybe a "squirrel cage" hooked up to a generator, for your puppy to get exercise AND generate electricity -

Well, that's nice of you.

Bubba says it's not good to store guns in a soft case for any length of time because it tends to draw the oil out of the metal parts -

Well, today it got up to 98 degrees so our daughter, son-in-law and three granddaughters came over to spend the afternoon in our air conditioned house. Yep, that AC has ran ALL day and is still is running because it is still 88 degrees outside (at 8:15 PM).

The girls played in the pool most of the afternoon. I prepared lunch, which consisted of running down to Safeway and buying prepared sandwiches, berry bowls, potato salad and a carrot cake. Nope, ol pa-pa ain't gonna be doing any BBQ-ing when it's 98 degrees outside, not no more!

It was a fun day -

Last week we went to Costco for the first time since covid. Super packed as usual, but everyone in a mask, most with their nose sticking out. No distancing possible.

We went again yesterday and found the magic time to go to Costco. 7pm on monday; very empty.

Can't make this up....

My brother is a cop in norcal. A "defund the police" group called to ask for police presence at their protest for safety.

i do everything i can to shop about an hour before closing these days. always less people, and the cashiers always seem to start actually working like they want to leave!

i wouldn't tell them no outright, but i'd remind them what they're asking for...

Well, the granddaughters are back for the last week at ma-ma and pa-pa's summer camp.

I have a follow up appointment with the cancer doctor this morning. The PA that I see is a cute little Asian girl. Yep, I reckon the hug and waist squeeze will be out of the question this visit because of COVID -

What did we do this weekend - not a damn thing!

I never thought I'd spend a 3 day weekend doing nothing, but we just didn't feel comfortable going out into crowded COVID country -
