Winter Rims

Hey guys. Im dealing with 2 huge idiots at Canadian Tire. I want to buy some inexpensive winter tires and rims. The tires ive got picked out are Pirelli Winter Carving and Edge 205/60/R16 96T. The rims are a different story. I asked for a 5x100 bolt pattern black steel rim and the refuse to sell them to me to fit on my car unless they know it will fit (the wont even test fit them) until Head Office or something okays it. Can anyone tell me the exact model number (for backspacing and hubcentric fit) that will fit this car. Thats for any black steel rim, then I can at least make them cross reference it and ill buy them for "another car"

You want a 16" steel rim that fits the WRX. They are a direct fit for our cars, I'd imagine.

hey ~ how did this go... ? I just came across the same issue with Canadian Tire. The Subaru Dealer will only sell Alloy Rims + Winter tires for $1249.00.

Use a 2004 WRX. That's 5x100 ET48 same as ours.

Or screw CT and use a dedicated tire shop.

I imagine clearance won't be an issue on a thinner steel rim.

Put snows on the stock wheels and save up over the winter for a good set of summer wheels/tires next year?

Wrx stocker, steel? :-D
Upd: nevermind, misread.
But sure, shouldn't be any clerance issues. And perhaps a bit more steering feedback.
