Is the tranny stubborn

When I first start driving my car for the day I feel like the car doesn't like to go into second gear smooth or at all sometimes. my revs aren't that high and the tranny is cold. is this normal. This is happened a few times where It just didn't want to go into second and I didn't force so I threw it into 3rd.by the way the car has 800 miles on it. Maybe that tranny needs an ass pounding to loosen up?

It's normal to have to put in work to get to 2nd gear when it's cold. Not only with this car, but many other manual cars as well.

But if you want to give it an 'ass pounding', go for it. Let us know how it works out for you in the long run.

I've been experiencing same issues lately. Same at 800 miles.. Will be changing my fluid very very soon! Hopefully I see the difference everyone else did.
