Well, darn.

Are you unemployed or just looking for a promotion?

I'm dropping the trans for the TOB that started acting up with perfect timing. Not intending to do the clutch unless something is messed up. I'm also doing a whole bunch of stuff this winter:
-TOB/TSK1
-Coilovers/camber plates/LCAs/swaybar
-Engine/Transmission/diff mounts and subframe inserts
-Spark plugs
-Header
-diff and trans fluid
-probably some other stuff I forgot?

I mean I wasn't planning on it as I'm building for autocross... but that's not a bad idea...

Just don't try to convince me to take the rest of the exhaust off because if I do it's probably not going back on.

Kinda makes me want to preemptively modify a stock transmission cover to accept a sleeve that will take a standard TOB.

I think the real culprit is the aspect ratio of the contact surface. If the cylindrical contact area were deeper, like with an extension taking advantage of the rearward available surface area, it would better resist binding and galling.

Ahhh. That makes too much sense.
