Can't identify this car
For the first time in my life I was not able to identify a car I saw on the road. I saw him leaving a Walmart at a light. I quickly did a (legal) U-turn and caught up to him. I asked him what kind of car it was and I swear he said Opel but since we were shouting on the open road out of our windows I could be mistaken.
When I got home I googled "Opel Race Car" and any variant of a search I could think of but I couldn't find anything remotely resembling his car. It was spotted in Warner Robins GA just outside of Robins AFB. The color was bright racing red much like Ferrari's red. The headlights resembled an Ultima GTR or Ferrari P4/5 and the rear tail lights looked to be taken straight out of the new Viper but it had a large rear diffusser that came straight up to the bottom of the tail light housing. It's driving me crazy not being able to identify this car! Any ideas?! |

Just an FYI if you haven't wiki'd it yet, Opel is a European division of General Motors, and I was under the impression that the only interesting vehicle sold as an Opel in the US was the Opel GT.
My guess would be that it's a kit or extensive body work done on an Opel GT or he's screwing with you. Unless of course you misheard. |

Also, FYI due to the front flip headlights, inserting an assembly that resembles a newer car like you listed is relatively easy.

I must of misheard. Because it was definitely a current car. The tail lights looked like they were taken directly off a current gen Viper. It also had a large but simply spoiler. Simply as in, pretty much just a straight piece of metal with stabilizing fins on the edges

Wow, nice... I've never seen a Noble in the wild, only on the interwebs. Side question - Are Noble's legal in the US?

Seen two Noble's now, both in shops getting work done... LOTS of work done lol. They are an electrical nightmare apparently. Pretty cool looking cars. Got to sit in one of them. Too bad it didnt run. I believe they are legal to drive here but that I'm not 100% sure.
