Yes, I have a rear facing seat in my car and my 5'6" wife can still fit in the passenger seat. I can also fit a large jogger stroller in the trunk with room for a bag. I don't do any of this very often but it's nice to be able to take my car for a trip to dinner or the grocery store rather than the big boring Suburban all the time.

I'm 6' 3" -- the seat needs to be all the way back, LOL. If I had a smaller person, I guess they could slide the passenger seat forward for another small person in the back...but may never try that!

I’m 6’2” with long legs but prefer being very upright and close to the wheel. Even then no one can sit behind me. Hahaha

It’s not a super practical rear seat but at least it’s there.

Yep, babies and toddlers can fit back there with either some front or rear facing infant seats - but it's a pain to get them buckled and unbuckled in and a bigger pain to tend to them when they are back there.

After they get past the infant seats, they will fit - till they start bitching about no leg room -

The the seat I have drops on a base. I leave the base in all the time and when we take my car I strap him in the seat on the ground next to the car and then drop him on the base. It’s not too bad actually. But if I had to strap him in while the seat was mounted in the back it would be a serious pain in the ass.

They keep changing the recommendations on the rear facing seats though. I think they need to get their drivers license before they can turn around and look out the front now. Hahaha. Once he gets heavy it will be hard to just plop him on the base.

Yep, one of my granddaughters had that "base" system. It was quite handy. snap-click - all secure.

Now with the latest toddler, she is a chunk! No way in hell I could lift her and the base into a back seat. However, now (at 2.5 years old) she can crawl up into the seat and for the most part buckle herself in -

Yep, I think they have to be at least 21 years old to ride in the front seat -

Related, but different question. Thought I’d post here rather than starting a new thread.

When putting someone into the back seat behind the driver, you have to reset the back rest manually to where it was before. I’ve never had a car do this before, every other coupe remembers where the backrest was previously to save having to reset each time. Is mine broken, or is this just what they all do?

This is normal unfortunately. This and the doors that eat shins are the two most annoying things about this car.

That’s a bugger, thanks mate. I have the daughters seat behind me, so have to reset the seat back at least twice every day. Seems like a silly setup when most other coupes return the seat back to the original location. Oh well.

Nothing to do with it not being electric. All other manually operated coupe seats that I’ve owned have returned the seat back to the position it was in rather than having to set it each time you access the back seat. Even the lightweight Lotus.
