Don't need to prove to the Civic behind me that I can get to that speed in just a measly 5 seconds by revving it up.

Personally, around town I shift somewhere in the 3000-3500 range typically. When the engine is cold, I'm shifting at 2500 and giving it 10% throttle. There's no rush in life.
Yeah I shift in the 3500 range as well. I can't see how you wouldn't be lugging it shifting at 2500 and keeping up with traffic. But people tend to drive quickly on the surface streets around here since the city is so spread out.

Who buys a car rated at 20/27 that needs premium and is concerned about gas mileage?

Not to mention, I was just playing around. geez

I get misunderstood a lot. Or maybe I'm not as funny as I think I am.

Just keep swinging.

That light-bar is awesome? Custom? If so, have a build thread anywhere?

Sometimes I'm envious of you people that live below 6,000 feet.

I'm not trying to come off aggressive haha, was just saying. You won't be lugging it at 2500 unless you're giving it aggressive throttle anyway. Though I wouldn't know much about when lugging occurs on this engine as I haven't driven it in such a way to do so.

In regards to your statement of a sports car with premium gas having concern for gas mileage - it's not about gas mileage in particular, but rather about driving based on the conditions you're presented with. If you're on a slow moving road with regular traffic, there's no need to be revving higher and burning more gas with every shift. I drive mixed constantly. There's times where I'm getting 33 mpg and others where I'm getting 26 mpg on the same exact trip with similar conditions.

Installed eightyzips shift & handbrake boots. They look amazing and while the install was fiddly, it went smoothly and they installed well.

Hey! So it's not custom at all, there's actually a bunch of listings for them on eBay. That's where I purchased mine. They all appear to be the same item, roughly around $180.

Kevin Vo also just released a video on it yesterday I believe!

Its got enough torque to keep up with small town traffic. Plus its cold as hell in the winter and I mostly drive short distances so don't want to put unnecessary strain on the car.

The downside is that when I had my exhaust changed the old one had quite a bit of water in the muffler. Even with me doing WOP pulls on the highway and shitload of vapor coming out behind me making me look like a train it wasn't enough to get rid of all the water. I ended up drilling 2 small holes in the oem muffler to get all the water out before putting it into storage.

Like you said depends on how quickly people drive around you. Here - not so much. The shift light comes on at like 2000 rpm lol, if you dont floor it at low rpm the engine feels fine

I'll have to look it up, it looks great!

Since my 2nd gen is red, not sure it would have the same effect, but it looks awesome. Just tapped into the trunk light?

related/unrelated:

my brother's a dodge/chrysler/jeep mechanic. he just had to do the same as you as part of an official TSB on a 10 year old dodge. it got towed into the dealership as a "no-start". the muffler was so plugged up with water, it didn't start! after he drilled the hole and let it drain, it fired right up.

so not entirely weird, but definitely something that should be resolved by the manufacturer.

Had some fun in snow. We got about a foot of snow last week, the snowbank is above roofline on passenger side. Car is surpassingly composed as long as there is ground clearance. I'm in a large city so main roads are no issue.
Tires are Continental Viking7 205-60R16s
