I guess I looked sort of lost among all the old Jewish ladies, so one of them, seeing I was from "out of town", took me under her wing.

She told the baker to give me some of the fresh bagels, NOT the stale ones from yesterday, he was reaching for. And slice me off about a half pound of the GOOD lox, NOT that mushy fish he was about to cut up. Nice lady!

So, loaded up hot bagels and good lox, I went back to the house. Since they were all still asleep, I mixed up a pitcher of bloody Marys and had a party by myself ...........

Thankful she kept you away from the day-olds. When in NYC you absolutely need to get those bagels fresh. There's this shop I've gone to the past couple times I've visited (both times this year) called Bagels 'N Schmear... So good. The bagels are fresh, they have lox, they have a huge variety of cream cheeses (chipotle cream cheese is incredible).

I'd move there just for the bagels. I totally would.

I also prefer my bagels untoasted and unsliced. And I hate cream cheese.

Also fuck farmed salmon.

Mine was great, but I didn't have LASIK I had Astigmatic Keratotomy (AK) to correct my astigmatism. I was going to have LASIK as a follow-up if needed but the AK took me from 20/60 (far vision) to 20/20 so there wasn't a need. This was about 12 years ago. Now they pretty much do all of it with LASIK or similar.

MomHawk had LASIK and had very good results, but I do know folks that didn't around the same timeframe. She does have to use reading glasses now, but that's normal, LASIK doesn't correct (or cause) that.

That cable is over 20 years old. Not my fault. Most guys carry a spare. Unfortunately I don't think I have a spare. A new one is only $196.

My eye doc asked me if I was interested in LASIK last month when I had my annual appointment. I also have an astigmatism, which would be nice to correct.

It sounds great and all, but it's hard to rationalize paying like 4-5k, I think, without any insurance coverage. Ended up telling her to ask me again in a few years .

Maybe someday.. I don't _hate_ wearing glasses, but it can be a bit inconvenient sometimes.

Therein may lie your problem ........ maybe I should check with mrs Sapphireho about that .......
