Exclamation Need help!

So the dealer I go to put a dent in the rocker on my car, they are offering to fix it(stud welder, slide hammer, bondo, and try to paint match it), give me just side skirts(I have to pay $175 of it) Or let me pick something out of the parts department that I assume is of a value near to the side skirts. I'm glad they are offering to do anything other than give me the finger. What is your opinion? What would you do? It's a dent that probably only I will notice, but I will notice it. Anyone have a picture of an FR-S with just the 5AD side skirts on it? I was thinking of asking for the 5AD rear wing and the TRD intake. I'm so frustrated!

Here's the damage:

And the culprit:

I'd just get them to fix it.

File an insurance claim with your insurer and tell the insurance company who did the damage. Get it fixed at the body shop of your choice. The Dealer will pay way before they let a claim get filed on their business insurance.

They are already offering to fix it or at least make it right, does the above options not sound reasonable?

They did quote the side skirts at over $1100 by them selves, that seems high to me, anyone have any insight on that?

I wanted to do side skirts anyway, really don't want bondo or poorly matched paint on the car. I guess this is why I'm asking opinions.

"they are offering to fix it(stud welder, slide hammer, bondo, and try to paint match it)" Does not instill confidence for me. "try" to paint match? Your car your choice but I would not be playing lets make a deal with a "Stealership". YMMV

Well, that was my take on it, they have a body shop they work with I guess.

Do you have pictures?
Honestly they are owning to the mistake good job but you should discuss how the repair will be done. Atleast give them the opportunity to fix it themself before running to your insurer please.

Good luck.

Good luck.
Pictures are up top now.

I don't plan on going to my insurance, he did say that they would have to use a stud welder as they could get to it for paint less removal, with that comes bondo and they fact that the pearl white is hard to match.

It's part of the uni-body, only replaceable if they cut and weld.

I'm not a super fan of it but it's not bad, I'm trying to be ok with leaving it as they are offering to let order other items for compensation.
