So you will lose acceleration due to higher gearing from the tires.
And your actual speed will be 4.3% higher than what is indicated.

Depending on the weight of the wheel/tire combo you may lose additional acceleration from the extra weight. Always keep this in mind when running a plus-size set.
The wheel weighs 18.34 lbs if i get a good deal on the wheels and the guy will ship i guess i should just buy new tires

Wheel weight is pretty good for an 18" wheel. Good luck!

Continental Extreme Contact DW in a 245/35R18 isn't too wide for an 18x8 wheel? How are the Hankook v12 evo 245/35?
Also I have +45 offset and have a 1.4 inch drop with springs. Will I need camber bolts? what about camber plates? Thanks

you can do 245s on a 17x8. +45 offset is nice and conservative.

I haven't gone lowered yet, but I got about 1.4 degrees with camber bolts.

An 8" wheel can fit a 245mm without issue.

Will these work

They are 18x9.5 with a +35 offset (all 4 wheels).

The tires are 245x35x18

Front,
Outside the fender by approx 15-20mm. Could be corrected with aggressive camber. But..
Very close to suspension on inside.

Rear, OK, some poke.

Grab a calculator and do some easy measuring. Or look back through this thread... Lots of info.

Loving this thread!

I just purchased a staggered set of 57Xtremes:

F: 18x8.5 +33
R: 18x9.5 +40

Just shopping around for the ideal tyres -- can you please confirm if 225/40/18 (front) and 255/35/18 (rear) will be the best?

I have the Eibach Pro Kit installed.

I understand this particular set up was designed specifically for the 86 -- can you confirm if this means it will be a flush setup?

A little more than flush. Tire selection is your choice. But what you have listed is fine.

Need your help on this one!
Rays gram ligths 57xtreme wheels.
I currently have a stock BRZ on the suspension side, so it is not lowered.
I want to have a square set of 18x9.5 all around.
Just wondering I was thinking on having 255/35/18 tires (michelin super sport).

Will this fit? Any issues of rubbing in the rear or front with this kind of set?

thanks

Need wheel offset.

You can fit 255's in front depending on the offset (edit: and tire brand) but still very tight, and 9.5" wheel is very aggressive for the front, no issues in the rear though.

With a stock suspension setup, you will either poke out or rub against the strut on the inside depending on the offset. Not an ideal fitment either way.

example for reference:

This is my 18x9 +35 wheel on stock suspension (compressed to ride height).

On the inside, there is 12mm between the edge of the wheel to the strut. With a crash bolt installed, this reduces to about 9-10mm. Add the tire and the sidewall will be closer yet.

Also note how much the wheel sticks out of the fender.

With crash bolt and ProKit springs, was able to gain just enough camber to pull the top of the wheel in just enough (last pic).
