Forgot to ask:

Is there a set difference in width between the front and rear rims in a staggered setup, or does it vary per design?

Well, no. You can go a half inch wider, you can go four inches wider. The whole and only mechanical reason to do a staggered setup is that:
1. You don't have enough rear traction to put down power.
2. The maximum wheel width you can fit all around in a square setup isn't sufficient to put down power.
and 3. You can fit wider wheels in the rear than will clear in the front.

If you aren't having traction issues directly related to having too much power for the rear tires to hold, then the amount by which you're going wider in the rear is completely arbitrary. Pick whatever looks good, but just know that the wider you go the more it will upset the handling.

Hey all,

Picked up a set of 17x9 +35 rpf1s. Going to run a 245/40/17 rs3 in the summer and a 245/35 toyo R1r in spring and late fall. Currently stock springs. Running -2 degrees of camber up front. Going to rce yellow springs and plan on running -2degrees or more up front. You guys see any issues with rubbing under load?

I'd be interested in input on this as well. I've got the same wheels on order and will be running 245/40R71 Dunlop Z2s. I've put Whiteline camber bolts and caster bushings on, and will be adding COMCs and the adjustable rear camber bushings.

It's doable. Hard to say if the front would rub the fender. Depends on your camber, spring rate and shock compression. Not a whole lot of room on the outside at fender edge. I wouldn't sweat it. Take some measurements though before purchase.

Edit look up at the white FRS with Rota Grid 9" +30. Just a 5mm difference. Tires are another story but irrelevant.

I'll post how mine works out. Probably won't have any input until sometime in Feb if I can get the SS Z2s at that point. The wheels are supposed to arrive mid Jan.

How wide of a tire do you want to mount?
Staggered or square fitment?
Why 9.5" up front?

So a 9.5" square setup with mismatched tires?
Going be fairly aggressive up front. A suggestion: buy a pair of 8.5" for up front.

You are correct, you think 255's rear/front will work?

A 9.5 +45 w/ 255mm tire is going to be awfully close to the suspension components. If you already have the wheel test fit it and measure clearance for tires.

(My internet connection is screwing up)

I don't think it is going to work unless you get a coilover setup that is smaller in diameter to OEM. ( to provide clearance )
