Further apart, such as 0w-40, means the oil will typically have a better index, which is a good thing.

You’re temps are far higher than mine. I have a oil temp gauge front and center monitoring temps entire time. And run a lot cooler than that even beating the balls out of her.

I am swapping to 0w20 last saturday. Car seems very light and engine is not fluttering at idle.
I will try to drive the car everyday to see that i still have a leak or not.
Yeah i might be changing again over 5w30 once the supercharger installed.
I have several option here..
Ams signature 5w30
Motys m100 5w30
I would prefer ams.. what you guys thinking

That may very well be the case, and I am not sure why. But from what I've read on this forum, my temps are nothing out of the ordinary. But of course, you make the judgement based on your conditions as yours definitely vary from mine.

Oil brands have also been discussed repeatedly on this forum. The general consensus is you choose whatever oil brand you like and stay away from any unknown or cheap brands you may be weary of (none that I really know). People have been using just about every kind of oil brand on this car and have loved their own choice.

If you're leaning on those two only, I would say make your judgement based on whatever is cheaper for you. Also as someone else mentioned earlier, it would be nice to check that it is GF-6 vs GF-5 as it has reduced wear and other various benefits if you're looking for the best.

As for gauges, oil pressure would be one of the most beneficial I would say if you're interested in knowing how it various based on your driving style and temperatures. The rest are not necessary and can be viewed through free apps that are out there or something like EcuTek.

Hey im back.. i found the leak.. it was from rear crank seal..
I have to fix it.
And i already fill it with 0w20
It sounds prettier.. and quiter on my engine
Especially when cold
I wil go wwith my eneos 0w20 up untill supercharger.
I am gonna install oil temp and oil press so i can compard Nd share to you guys here when im done with pw20 and later with 5w30
For your info too.. i have oil cooler installed.
So it might not the same with you guys.

I had NA FBO w/ no cooler
NA FBO w/ “oem/ned” cooler
Supercharged w/ “oem/ned” cooler
Supercharged w/ “oem/ned” cooler + oil cooler
Supercharged w/ “oem/ned” cooler + oil cooler + oil cooler fans.

I chose 0w-20 for all variations.

Supercharging doesn’t change engine tolerances. Doesn’t change oil requirements.
