Motor journalists often compare gas mileage equivalent between ICEs and EVs, but this is usually city and highway, and when they do take the car to the track, they typically mention a loss of range, recharging limitations, heat, etc, but I haven't heard of anyone comparing efficiency on the track. It reminds me of the Top Gear episode where they compared a BMW's fuel economy to a Prius' around a track, and they found that the BMW was slightly more efficient when the Prius was ringing out its engine and the BMW was barely pushing its engine. In a similar test, I would like to see the efficiency difference between a Model 3 vs a BMW 2/3 series being pushing around a track. The Model 3 is going to be heavier, which should really change its fuel efficiency during acceleration, but it does have regen to improve its efficiency. It would be interesting, even if it isn't a major concern for most people.

The whole party trick of an EV is being 'green' and blah blah and the moment you mess with the things that make it efficient, suddenly it's barely that 'green'.. the 315 tires had me laughing.

Actually that price was for the Tesla powertrain. The standard setup is only 7600.

I'll give Evasive credit for making a Model 3 actually look nice externally. The stripes on the hood and the changes to the front end make it almost attractive.

I never got a Model 3. Ergonomically, they suck. Too hard to get in and out of for a sedan. No hatch. So I got a Model Y LR AWD. East to get in and out of. Has a hatch. Also added an ECU mod so it should do 0-60 in as low as 4.2 seconds. Only issue is it's a bit too low, so I'm considering the lift options. One is a coilover kit using KW parts and longer stroke. Another is just a spacer. I will try spring helpers first, and see how I like it.
