Very nice, Kaotic! Love those fat wheels! Hey, something you might want to try is putting some real car ceramic coating on it. I did that for a couple of diecast cars and I swear it added some depth/gloss to the paint (I had some left over from ceramic coating my BRZ so I was trying it on all kinds of stuff, like the shower glass).

Thanks!

I did put a coat of Collinite wax on it, but I've been handling it ever since then (putting on the lights, windows, etc). I probably should use some quick detail on it, and apply another coat of Collinite. It really does add a ton of depth to the color tho.

I went back and re-did one of my older builds. This is an Autoart 240Z, 1/18 scale. I decided to drill holes in the overfenders I installed previously, and added a total of 24 machined metal rivets. I also sanded and repainted the overfenders, the front lip, and also resprayed the wheels (Longchamps XR4 - classic JDM wheel) with Molotow chrome through an airbrush (no thinning required), and fixed the stance. It also got new brakes but those are difficult to spot haha. I also managed to source headlight fairings from another Autoart model and I think it looks great with them. I used Microscale Kristal Klear to attach them, which is a white glue but dries completely clear and is quite strong.

Finished pics:

And a pic of the engine cause why not! This I did a couple years ago and did not change anything this time around. Those of you that are eagle-eyed will notice that one of the ignition wires on the valve cover has separated - the little bastard - which I didn't notice while taking pics.

Outstanding! Where did you get the velocity stacks from? The original model came with a big air filter that covered all 3 carbs, didn't it?

That's a model that's close to my heart, and here's why below...not quite the same (a 280) but this is the car I sold to buy the BRZ back in 2013.
