How about them internals
Did a pretty good search and can't find much. Simple question. Are the rods forged or not?

They are likely shot-peened or something. The crank being nitrided shows they at least put some attention toward making the parts stronger.

Pistons are going to give out way before rods anyway. And even a cast, shotpeened rod will still handle good power reliably. Sintered rods should do decent as well.
