I noticed the weight and height difference of the Harrop SC, and this K24 feels similar. Less weight slightly on the nose, but I have a turbo, so extra weight over the base swap, yet there is still more side roll than the FA20. I don’t think that is fake or inflated marketing.

From 6 months of owning my 2020 86 I remember that it felt a bit nose heavy and not that eager to rotate as I'd expect from a car like this. Yes, it's light overall, but the balance could be better, I wonder if K24 changes that or not.

I didn't read all 93 pages of this thread. Anyone boost one of these with a rotrex C38 body? I like turbos, just don't want all the heat under the hood and exhaust work. Not looking to get 250whp, more like 400whp.

22 avg with mostly interstate. I could get better if I kept my foot out of it but that’s a silly idea.

ML is doing a SC. Jackson Racing mentioned working on a kit, but I don't know if that will come to fruition with EPA crackdowns:

yes I made 325 with a C30 plugged to a stock k24a2 and 93. About to put on JP700 rotrex cams and a c38 so should be mid 400s-500 and then tune it back with a waste gate on the intake. using the TTS bottom mount kit and the JRSC tubes to plumb it, but I'm about to reroute it all with a new intercooler. Also will need a stronger trans after this point.

I didn't see as much weight loss or cross weight change as expected, and certainly not as much as others. My napkin math after comparing gas levels and scale readouts was 100 pound drop. Before weight was with an automatic car with stock header. I mean I'm not upset to lose 100 pounds but the auto trans is about 25 lbs heavier than the manual, so realistically I only dropped ~75.

Can't say anything definitive on handling though. I had a different suspension setup from my previous fa20 powered car along with different tires. Any comparison I'd have is apples to grapefruits. I know it's quicker now with the swap, and way more fun to drive which is essentially what I wanted.

I updated to 3.07 firmware and it fixed the fuel gauge issue! The MPG seems off but maybe it will get better after a few tanks; currently says 10.8mpg but I calculated 14mpg (E85, mostly city driving).

I forgot to say that you will likely have less heat under the hood with a supercharger, yet that can be reduced with a turbo blanket and header wrap, which makes a big difference, but you will have more heat in the engine, so consider that. I'm making more power at 10psi than I did at 14.5psi. Yes, the motor is 400cc bigger, but also has less compression, so take it for what it is, but a turbo should put more torque and power to the wheels at less boost, so if you need to consider heat management in the engine then you might want to consider a turbo. A supercharger would go well with this motor.

Here is what a $600 starter looks like if anyone cares. My denso one ALREADY started dying to I decided to just drop the money on this Brise unit since I want to goto a CD009 and will need it anyway. Here is hoping its actually works with the kpower trans setup.

Yes, it was night and day for me. The scale pictures Irace86.2.0 posted are the before and after on my car, which was Harrop'd prior.

Probably not nearly as much of a difference for a stock FA car back to back, but still.

New A/C settings

Have never been happy with the way the idle behaves when the A/C cycles - it would basically hunt around back and forth like a pendulum trying to find it's equilibrium. So I did some tweaking to the A/C map, and am now pretty happy with the results. I realize the 9lb flywheel probably makes it impossible to get perfect, and will eventually "downgrade" to the heavier street flywheel, but for now this works well. This is also likely car specific so no guarantee these settings will make anyone else's car better. I also increased the "Maximum RPM setting" because I found the A/C cycling a lot with my style of driving - now I can cruise at 100mph and not have the A/C shut off

Base map settings and idle behavior:

Tweaked map settings and new idle behavior:

If anyone thinks what I did was dumb or has alternative map settings, please let me know. I'm literally just tinkering around and have no idea what I am doing.
