Just kind of sidetracking this a little bit....

Did Toyota Canada drop the gas powered Corollas in favor of an all hybrid lineup for 2023?

The Toyota Canada build page (at least for Alberta) doesnt give you an option to spec out a gas powered 2023 Corolla sedan.....
Hatch is still gas only and doesnt have a hybrid option (yet)

Either thats what they did or they didnt up date the gas Corolla portion of the website yet....

Oh and the GR Corolla will be the only way to get a stick shift Corolla in 2023+

Nobody has gotten allocation yet. The duration of time involved here is getting frustrating. At this point we're guessing maybe November is when dealers will think they start to get Core allocations. Meanwhile Circuit, sheesh...I'm thinking February maybe.

(again, allocation notification, not delivery).

My money was on the configurator going live tomorrow, cars popping up in the mid-month allocation round in the next 2-5 days. That's the only way to get any delivered in Nov at this point. Seems too quiet for that to pan out though.

Eh, pretty sure cars will end up all over the country at the same time regardless.

Some sales people were indicating they expect to get allocations this week - seems more likely end of month but either way cars will be here before you know it.

So each dealership will get one Core in next months allocation, and then following allocations will depend on how many GR86 that specific dealership has sold in the past?

That will suck for the dealerships that barely sold any GR86 then...which sucks for me since I don't think the dealership I'm wait listed at sold/focused on GR86s...

I'm hoping it'll come to GT7 soon since it will be sold in Japan and JDM models are the quickest into GT by far. GR86 was added to GT Sport somewhat out of the blue in July 2021, way before it went on sale.

I don’t have GT7, but I’m hoping it gets added to Assetto Corsa or the new Forza Motorsport whenever that comes out.
