Lots of speculation, I have a hard time believing all those articles. But if this was the case, it's really nothing to be excited about. Not sure the redesign will look as nice as the current generation either. Glad I got mine before the deadline then!

Well, that looks like crap. That rear end is very square and the interior render is laughably bad. I know it's the current thing, but that radio is horrid.

Hopefully subaru and toyota actually release a real render that looks good sometime soon. Put all the speculation to rest.

We have something more recent than that. The ND Miata is the lightest Miata since the NA

Hmm... Maybe we should check the Supra forum to learn about the twin's future.

The fifth gen to sixth gen Camaro is a pretty big weight difference.

the mod staff do have a record with the Supra. they broken both pricing and official pics days before the unveiling. so maybe they do have connections within Toyota.

^That's nice and all, and sure as of this moment everything maybe still on track, but playing devil's advocate again. There is still a lot of time between now and spring/summer of 2021. A lot can still happen like WW3 or Covid wiping out half of the population. I think its fine if people want to chat about a 2nd gen 86, but at the same time let's not get too overly excited until we have official photos and a press release, and even then it might still be a let down for some.

Also, shouldn't this thread be in the second gen section? @Guff @ichitaka05

If there wasn't chatter about next gen models, there would only be threads like what color floor mats should I get or the dreaded MT/AT debates! I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota/Subaru (or any other company) purposefully leak spy shots or gives the rendering folks a heads up to generate talk in the marketplace. I know for buyers like me, for whatever reason, who are waiting for Gen2 86/BRZ, always gravitate to any info out there, whether it be fictional or fact. You are correct that often the anticipation is sometimes better than the realization. But what else do we have to do while maintaining social distance?
