Exclamation Treadstone Performance Turbo Kit Update!

As some of you know, Treadstone Performance in Miami has my FR-S to R&D a turbo kit. Well, I can finally give you an update on their progress! Let me start by saying they are using a Borg Warner EFR6258 turbo in this kit. They plan to offer other kits for varying performance goals, but haven't decided on those yet. I don't have pricing, and they will post up that information once they are ready to do so. They are tuning with EcuTek and will begin that in a week or so, just waiting on a final piece to be machined. Before I get to the pics, I know the kit looks similar to others being released. They did not copy these kits, as they've had this design from the beginning. Anyway, enough of my rambling, here are a few pics:

BorgWarner EFR 6258 will spool very quick and should make immediate response over 2k rpm.

Nice choice on the turbo if your goal is around 300hp

I'm surprised that you went with the 6258. The 6758 would be very similar in spool, but have so much more potential up top. I think the 6258 will not flow enough on the top end and will be noticeable with the TQ sliding off. Time and dynos will tell though.

EDIT: I'm so glad someone is trying out an EFR on this engine. Can't wait to see how it comes out. These suckers are TQ monsters with the Miata 1.8L engines.

No pricing info yet. I've been back for over a month. However, I'm heading back out in a little over a month

The 6758 is still a possibility. Like I said, they want to do staged kits, so it very well could be in the mix!

Haven't seen the car in person, so I can't confirm or deny it, but it does kinda look like it in the pic. Maybe it has to do with oil return, IDK
