It's not a thing that will last very long. This has been done by at least one large company I am aware of to reduce office costs before and they reverted to in person after a few years. There is a social aspect to working with and managing people that you really don't get working remote. I am certain we are going back to the offices within a year.

My friend, this is Austin, Tx. They come here in swarms and housing just keeps going up and up.

Housing prices where I live are still being driven up by rich old Floridians and New Jersey escapees.

Lol, my son is now in Austin.

Here in Idaho everyone blames Californians, but most home sales here in Treasure Valley (Boise area) are to people from other parts of Idaho, then Oregon, then Washington state. Cal is #4, but more fun to hate Californians.

Garage
Californians are the only ones who can afford the houses without wheels.

Last night I suppose to sleep on one house we saw yesterday to see if it's worth putting the offer or not. Instead, was thinking... square set for the tires is best for our car, but if you wanna flush w the fenders, you want stagger setup. What if keep the wheel size, but just change the offset of front & rear? Example Front 17x8+35, rear 17x8+30. It'll be squared tire setup, but it'll be nicely flushed w the fenders. Biggest problem is, finding a wheel brand that makes that custom wheel setup. Before searching more on the wheels, I should look into the house lol

I've been thinking of going staggered for a couple years now. I run 18x8 - 40. They also make my wheels in 18x9 - 35. With the power I run, I think a little extra grip in the rear would be nice, and the car would look better.

Lol everyone here loves to blame californians too. But in the end, it's the locals (whether they be from Cali, elsewhere, or local) that vote in the officials who then enable the increase in costs and buildings.

ugm...maybe things are different on the west coast but how do "officials" impact the price of homes? They may have some marginal impact but its primarily driven by market demands, not government.
