A good chunk of them look production ready or close to it while others look like strictly concept models.

-That compact Cruiser EV better be named "EV Cruiser."...would be a missed opportunity there. IT actually looks a little like a combination of FJ cruiser and that FT-4X concept awhile back.
-The MR2 EV rumors actually came true!
-The EV truck definitely looks like next gen Tacoma (which from spy shots looks to be a mini Tundra. This looks like that, with a Tacoma nose)

Lexus looks to have interesting stuff too.

-The RZ450e looks like an RX/BZ4X/Solterra/LF-RZ all blended together.
-That sports car concept looks very Supra-esque.
-Theres a convertible (must be an updated LC) a wagon and a hatchback (maybe a new midsizer with those variants?) another sedan that looks to be the next gen IS, and some larger crossover.
-From the darkened not-100%-BEV group in the back from the lexus only showcase, if you mess with the lighting you can see that there is a mystery crossover next to the UX (there were rumors of a Lexus version of the Yaris Cross to sit below the UX...I guess that would be it?...UX is the crossover, this mystery car is a CT-like hatchback?), an updated (next gen?) RX with the new NX nose, beside it looks like the next gen GX, and an updated ES at the end.

I gotta say without that spindle grille the new gen lexus lineup looks a little...ordinary and blends in again.....

Just saw this, hysterical if true... Toyota rickrolls the world during the EV announcement

(I promise it's a link to an article not to a video)

I don't understand the significance of this. Is Toyota saying these concepts are a joke?

I'm just taking it at face value, that the public relations folks at Toyota have (somewhat outdated) sense of humor.

I mean, some of the concepts just look crazy/cartoon like. Some look like they could be gasoline, others look like actual EVs

Thanks to a SPAMBOT in another thread, I looked up the new BZ3 that is now being seen in China. It's a decent looking sedan. I'm assuming this one actually keeps its wheels on.

I have a feeling this example being black is doing a lot to hide a lot of black plastic trim and fascia weirdness...
At least the silhouette looks normal.

It's not as bad as I expected, at least in this article.

That Toyota EV sedan shown a few posts above looks like a complete Taycan knock off. Can't say I blame them, lots of people would probably buy it.
If they could take Tesla drivetrains and insert them in more interesting bodies maybe I'd be interested. The new Audi EV sedan looks decent as do several other EVs that IMHO look a lot less generic than Tesla. I can't even tell a Model 3 and Model S apart or a Model X from a Model Y.
It's as if the electric power train and all the smart features negate the need to look interesting and special compared to other similarly priced vehicles. Instead they basically have 2 different body styles, sedan and SUV, each with a smaller and larger variant.

I'm sure their smart features are top notch. It just needs to be transplanted in a more exciting looking body.
