Photo from DDT:

Got bored over reading week, added all the PNs I could find to the first page. Parts slowly coming in for the 2022 season, nothing crazy. Replacement rear bumper, shift knob, and some other interior bits. Car should be going to the shop soon to have the trunk pulled out. Going into the winter there are no crazy plans for the car, but a custom axle back and some aero would be fun.

I miss DDT. I don't know why they covered over some of the layouts, as I liked the variety.

Sorry to hear about your accident but it's good to see the car being used the way it is.

Can i ask what was the reason behind the switch from Greddy x KW coilovers to the Ohlins?

Thanks! Stuff happens, I'm not going to let a combination of my own error and the track conditions get me down

Was originally going back to stock suspension for 2020 (got a set of like-new sub 5k km 2020 BRZ struts) and sold the KWs. Then a friend passed along a listing for a set of like-new Ohlins and I couldn't pass up.

After using both coilovers, the KWs had the locking collars strip after 2 height adjustments in the rear, and dont ride as well as the Ohlins. The build quality of the Ohlins is top notch and the out of the box the damper settings are perfect for the street imo. Each click has a slightly noticeable difference, where on the KWs to get a difference that was noticeable took 2-3 clicks.

Picked up a TRD Sport Meter trim for the Blitz gauges. Not sure what I am going to put in the 3rd opening yet, AFR/coolant temp/voltage?

Also got some cheap side skirts and a replacement rear bumper. "car is staying as it is" lasted about 5 weeks... lol.

That is generally how that goes

Everytime I say "yup I'm done with this area" my wallet gets a little lighter.

To be fair, I did fight off the Ninelivesracing black friday sale urge . I also had the headunit out already to sell, and a replacement OEM on the way from a friend. I suppose that isn't needed anymore though... now the trouble is finding a single din so I can still have some tunes on the road.

Might be worth looking on crutchfield for headunit fitment. Once you punch in year/model it will recommend stuff that fits.
I'm second guessing my decision since I don't need android auto, and I have the screen turned off on the oem unit 99% of the time anyways

I definitely failed at BF sales. The exhaust was worth it, since I saved just over $100. But Its backordered til February.

Traded the OEM trunk liner for some STI Style skirts that look like they'll fit with layered double sided tape. Also installed the Blitz gauges into the TRD meter trim.

Went to the US for the holidays and came back with an Autopower half cage/roll bar. Going to paint it white once the weather warms up. Also got a reverse lockout from Aliexpress for like $3. Metal + no logo, and wayyyy cheaper than the offerings from Raceseng/Perrin.

Over the weekend I picked up a JVC KD-X270BT headunit + Scosche wiring harness from Crappy Tire and set it up for install. The harness will be trimmed down and all excess wires will be capped off in a more permanent way once in the car. As for mounting, I am considering just stashing it in the glove box, as music volume can be controlled via phone using Bluetooth/AUX. This option is TBD.
